[It's amazing, isn't it, how quickly time can pass when one is anticipating the delightful thrill of being shocked? It seems no time at all that Wednesday is strolling through the door, case containing a few of her shock collars in hand. She tilts her head at him, waiting on his reaction.]
Murphy really doesn't know what to expect. The only time he's shocked someone, it wasn't for fun. Maybe there was some delight, shocking someone who's hurt you. It's a good feeling, taking revenge.
This is different. This is a different sort of thrilling and so he waits with much anticipation.
Wednesday is an odd woman, all her quirks intrigue him. She's different in her own right. Her family just as odd. ]
Hey [, he says, glance shooting at the case in her hands. The edges of his lips twitch and he smirks at her. ] Let's get to shockin'.
[How encouraging, she thinks, that he wants to get straight to the agreed activity. She sits the case down, opening it and turning it round to show off the shock collars. There's a small number, of varying voltages. and it's so tempting to run her fingers over them. But no, pace herself, anticipation is half the pleasure]
Which would you like to start with? They're organised in increasing voltage.
[ Without another word, Murphy looks at the selection of collars she has offered him. His fingers wriggle as they hover across each collar, trying to pick a good starting point.
It doesn't feel right to start at the lowest voltage. He assumes that she's done this before. Why have a whole damn case of shock collars and not try them out at least once. Murphy looks at her when he points to the collar situated directly in the middle of the case. ] This a good place to start? [ One of his eyebrows arch higher than the other, expectantly waiting for her answer. ]
[ Color him surprised when she picks the latter. It makes his stomach flip, watching her navigate right to his bedroom. ] It's just right over -- yeah, right there. [ He's a step or two behind her, slipping into his room right after her. ]
So. This is my room. [ There isn't anything special about it. The furniture is all mismatched. Murphy has a bed, unmade at the moment. Next to his bed is a nightstand that's cluttered with odd and ends. Across the bed is a dresser.
Besides that, Murphy's room is bare. ] You're going to have to show me how to put this thing on.
[It made the most sense to her, at least, and she doesn't really inspect the room much beyond noting that the odd mismatched look to it all is - in her eyes - homey.]
[She picks up the collar, and shows him the small keypad, typing the the code carefully and clearly]
It will click into place, and then you will need to type the code to release it.
[ Murphy watches closely, keeps the code in the forefront of his mind. He has a good memory when he needs to remember something. ]
Okay, that sounds easy enough. [ Slowly, Murphy takes the collar out of her hands. ]
Alright, sit down. [ Murphy is patient, waits for her to sit down and then does the same a few seconds later. ] You're going to have to turn around a little and lift your hair up.
[Wednesday sits, and turns enough to let him be able to put the collar around her, her braids carefully moved out of the way, and her head lifted to give enough space for him to fix the piece in place]
[ Securing the collar around her neck was easy enough. It was a little strange, he never thought he would be putting a collar around someone for pleasure. Murphy is also very aware that kinks exist. Living in space never stopped Murphy from knowing what pop culture was and what kinks were.

[Pain in general was a kink for Wednesday, and while she had been shocked before - the electric chair had been her favourite toy in the playroom as a child - this was a very new context to it all. A type of context that added a bit of a new thrill to it all, and she watched him in her own still manner. There was a self done appeal to him. The hack job of a fade suggested home styling. Everything suggested being put together on the fly]

There's a compartment on the top side. The remote is in there. You'll find you can increase the voltage on each collar by a small percentage.
[ Murphy was going to say alright but he caught himself. How many times can a man say alright in a single sitting? Instead, he nods and fishes out the remote. It fits in his hand, a little smaller, but it fits nicely. With Murphy turned back to face her, he's able to study her face. ]
Say cockroach if it starts to be too much for you. [ He gave her a few moments before his thumb pressed the appropriate button to activate the collar, giving her a shock. Murphy holds it down for a few seconds and lets go ]. How was that? [ Murphy looks at her with a quirked brow. ]
[ It was interesting to watch her reaction, it seemed typical enough. He thought back to when the Eliguis prisoners put shock collars on all of them. They'd been shocked so much that it burnt their skin. It was a weird thing, smelling your own burnt flesh. ]
Okay. [ Murphy scoots in closer, just a tad, half of him sitting on his bed while his right leg stayed hanging over with his foot planted onto his floor. ]
[ Murphy adjusts the intensity, only a little more. He's almost reaching the max level on this particular collar before he had to exchange it with the next. ]
