[ it's a day that may feasibly happen, but surely under the influence of something. still it's every bit as likely that billy would recoil and throw a strong fist into murphy's face but if broached some miraculous way, end up somehow more pleasant for a bit. inadvisable and unlikely for most but — billy has no reason to dislike murphy. he has a face both begging to be punched but not entirely unpleasant to look at.
it's a complication of interest that billy doesn't let himself think on directly. if he's suggesting something personal, it's under some heavy masculine code. liking to be thanked isn't likely to be well defined, sober and over text, neither spoken nor hinted at any more obviously. murphy has an imagination, maybe it coincides with a 50/50 death wish. ]
